The brief is free. Paid tiers keep it that way.

The daily brief is free, forever — a real promise, not a teaser. The paid tiers below unlock the full archive, the interactive “Should I worry?” tool, and the weekly long-form regime note. The reason they exist is plain: running real infrastructure (hosting, AI inference, market data, email delivery) costs real money, and we’d rather have paying readers keep the brief free than put a paywall on the brief itself.

Founding Member

$99 / year · $8.25/mo equivalentFirst 100 readers only · 36-month price lock

$8.25/month, locked for 36 months. That’s about 41% below the $14/month Monthly Supporter rate — over three years, $297 vs $504 (~$207 saved), and you’re insulated from any future price increase. After 36 months you can renew at the then-current rate or cancel; we give 30 days’ notice.

Every publication that lasts had a first hundred who believed in it before there was proof. This is that moment for Macro Lens.

You already get the brief free — so becoming a Founding Member isn’t about access. It’s about the mission: keeping calm, calibrated, plain-English market context free for the surgeon and the retired engineer who’ll never buy a Bloomberg terminal. Back that, and your name goes permanently on the founding record, your questions reach the founder directly, and you lock the lowest rate Macro Lens will ever offer. Once the hundred seats are claimed, this rate is gone for good — no exceptions, no second window.

  • Everything in Monthly Supporter (full archive, /worry tool, weekly long-form note)
  • 36-month price lock at $99/year ($8.25/mo — about 41% below the Monthly rate)
  • Numbered Founding Member acknowledgment — permanent record on /about
  • Founder-direct email replies — questions land in Lindsay's inbox, not a queue

The math, plainly

Monthly Supporter: $14/month = $168/year. Founding Member: $99/year = $8.25/month — about 41% less, locked for 36 months. Over three years, a Founding Member pays $297 vs $504 at the monthly rate — about $207 saved, with no exposure to future price increases.

Fair questions

Can't I just ask ChatGPT or Claude if I should worry?

You can — and you'll get a thoughtful, generic answer that changes every time you ask, sourced from nothing in particular. The Should I worry? tool is different in one structural way: every response is grounded in our deterministic engine's actual reading at that timestamp. When it says “credit markets are accepting risk,” that claim traces to a specific ratio above a specific moving average, today — reproducible by anyone with free public data. One published framework, the same calibration every time, historical base rates attached, and a hard constraint: it cannot contradict the engine, predict, or advise. A general AI is a brilliant generalist with no instrument panel. This is the same intelligence, bolted to eleven sensors. Any AI can give you an answer — ours has to show which sensor it came from.

What do paying members actually get?

The full archive back to day one, the Should I worry? tool (paste any headline, get a calm read grounded in today's engine state), and the Thursday long-form regime note. $14/month, or $99/year as one of the first 100 Founding Members. The brief itself stays free either way — members are why.
